Since 2021, Lingyun County has taken many measures at the same time, vigorously developing characteristic industries on the basis of implementing high-standard farmland construction, and promoting the rapid growth of rural residents' incomes. According to statistics, in 2021, the per capita disposable income of rural residents in the county reached 11,757 yuan, an increase of 10.9% year-on-year.
Vigorously develop the tea industry. The county takes the construction of ecological tea demonstration gardens as the starting point, actively adjusts the layout of the tea industry, grasps the expansion and management of tea gardens, cultivates leading enterprises to strengthen the drive, creates a public brand of "Lingyun Pekoe Tea", continuously develops and expands the leading industry of Lingyun Pekoe Tea, and promotes farmers to continue to increase their income and become rich. It is understood that at present, the county's tea garden area is 120,000 mu, of which the organic tea garden area is 23,000 mu, and 1 district-level tea demonstration area, 1 municipal tea demonstration area, 3 county-level tea demonstration parks, 5 township-level tea demonstration gardens, and 16 village-level tea demonstration sites have been successfully created. In 2021, the county has a total of 60 tea processing enterprises, 1 national-level key leading enterprise of agricultural industrialization, 3 key leading enterprises of district-level agricultural industrialization, 8 key leading enterprises of municipal agricultural industrialization, and 22 tea professional cooperatives. The county's dry tea output was 7,050 tons, an increase of 16.9% year-on-year; the output value of dry tea was 620 million yuan, an increase of 15.4%; the average income of tea farmers was 55,105 yuan, an increase of 15.5%; and the per capita income of tea farmers was 12,304 yuan, an increase of 15.4% year-on-year.
Vigorously develop the oil tea industry. The county actively introduces policies to support development, expand the area to form a scale, accelerate the standardization, intensification and standardized production of the camellia oleifera industry, promote the healthy and orderly development of the camellia oleifera industry, make the oleifera brand bigger and stronger, and help rural revitalization and farmers increase income. At present, the county has a total area of 307,000 mu of camellia oleifera forests; of which 175,000 mu of low-yield forests are transformed. In 2021, the new afforestation area of Camellia oleifera will be 0.5 million mu, and the area of low-yield forest transformation of Camellia oleifera will be 20,000 mu; the output of Camellia oleifera seed (dried) will be 24,000 tons, an increase of 10.2% year-on-year; and the output value of Camellia oleifera will reach 460 million yuan, an increase of 2.2% year-on-year.
Vigorously develop the silkworm industry. In 2021, the county will focus on promoting new varieties and new technologies of silkworms, standardize the ordering of silkworm seeds, carry out scientific and technological training, increase investment, and promote the high-quality development of the silkworm industry. It is reported that the total area of mulberry gardens in the county is about 100,000 mu, covering 80 administrative villages in the county. In 2021, 127,000 silkworms were raised, an increase of 10.3% year-on-year; 5,309.9 tons of fresh cocoons were sold, an increase of 15.1% year-on-year; and the output value was 270 million yuan, an increase of 74.4% year-on-year.
Vigorously develop ecological green industries. The county continues to consolidate the results of poverty alleviation, fully implement the rural revitalization strategy, strengthen cooperation between Shenzhen and 100 industries, ensure the production and supply of vegetable orders in Shenzhen, promote the expansion of vegetable area, and steadily increase vegetable production. According to statistics, in 2021, the county's vegetable planting area will be 59,000 mu, an increase of 2.3% year-on-year; the output will be 89,000 tons, an increase of 8.3%; and the output value will be 250 million yuan, an increase of 8.6% year-on-year.
Vigorously develop the fruit industry. The county uses preferential policies such as financial discounts and low interest rates to give fruit farmers seedling support and agricultural subsidies. According to statistics, in 2021, the county's fruit output was 13,700 tons, an increase of 9.1% year-on-year, of which the output of citrus fruits was 0.61 million tons, an increase of 17.7%; the output value was 0.49 billion yuan, an increase of 10.1% year-on-year.
Vigorously develop the grain industry. The county continues to implement the "drought to water" project, vigorously implements high-standard farmland construction, builds farmland water conservancy, allows households to have farmland, and makes rural industries prosperous; in 2021, more than 20 million yuan will be invested to build 20,000 mu of high-standard farmland. According to statistics, in 2021, the county's grain sown area was 214,400 mu, an increase of 1.02% year-on-year; the total output was 56,300 tons, an increase of 1.56%; the output value was 205 million yuan, an increase of 2.16% year-on-year. The construction of high-standard farmland and the development of ecological agriculture have effectively stabilized the "rice bags" in the whole county, ensured food security, and also consolidated the "money bags" of the vast number of peasants.
