Almost all the people on the island suffered a tragic fate, but someone gained the coveted ability and the pleasure they never had in this curse, and he was one of the culprits - Hammerstone. Hammerstone, who was present at the time, did not escape, but gladly accepted the baptism of the dark fog. While everyone was wailing and experiencing the pain of life being worse than death, he was enjoying the joy of becoming an immortal spirit.
After completely turning into a terrifying ghost, he knows that he has been freed from the shackles of life, and he can torture others unscrupulously without dying. And the lantern he used to carry with him became a prison where he could imprison his soul forever, so he hunted souls and trapped them in the lanterns, not only making them never liberated, but also seeing with his own eyes how he hunted and tortured other souls.
