"The painting was made in anticipation of the Asian Games. In the middle is the Asian Games Cultural Street of our Yunshui community - Qingfeng Gallery, and the following part is painted with the dance team and Tai Chi team of our community..." A few days ago, in the Cultural Home of Yunshui Community in Baiyang Street, a unique "personal painting exhibition" was opened in the explanation of resident Zhang Ailing.

This work, entitled "Welcoming the Asian Games and Creating Star City", firmly occupied the C position in the entire exhibition, attracting a large number of community residents to stop and watch.
Imposing landscape paintings, meticulous brush strokes, creative animation comics... The nearly 30 works on display at the Community Cultural Home are all by Zhang Ailing, who is 69 years old this year.
Ten years ago, Zhang Ailing came to Qiantang District with her children and became a new Qiantang person. The rich and interesting activities in the community and the relaxed atmosphere made Zhang Ailing quickly like life here.
The so-called live to be old, learn to be old. Four years ago, by chance, Zhang Ailing came into contact with Chinese painting, fell in love with Chinese painting, and began a "new journey" for her. In recent years, she has signed up for the Chinese Painting Class of the Little Poplar Art Troupe, the Chinese Painting Class of the University of the Elderly in Qiantang New District, and the Chinese Painting Class of the Haitiancheng University for the Elderly to learn painting.
After more than thirty years of accounting work, Zhang Ailing can sit still and calm down, which has also become an "innate advantage" for her to learn to paint. In 2020, under the guidance of her teacher, Zhang Ailing handed in her first homework - copying Huang Gongwang's Fuchun Mountain Residence Map, four into a series, a total of 6 meters long. "This work took me nearly half a year, although there are still many deficiencies, but whenever I look at it, a sense of pride arises."
Today, Zhang Ailing still maintains the habit of painting for 3 hours a day. With the full support of her family and community staff, Zhang Ailing's solo exhibition of works was surprised. "This time, the community really fulfilled one of my dreams." In Zhang Ailing's heart, there has always been a wish that one day, these carefully completed works can be displayed and can be seen by more people. Now, looking at the warmly decorated painting exhibition in front of her, her eyes can't help but burst into tears.
In recent years, in order to create a spiritual common prosperity for the elderly and "add weight" to the happy life of the elderly, the Yunshui community of Baiyang Street in Qiantang District has set up a number of talent teams such as model catwalks, snare drums, dances, and yueqin, so that the elderly in the community, like Zhang Ailing, pursue their dreams and a better and more brilliant life while strengthening their bodies.
