Tang Yahong's unforgettable artistic relationship with Mr. Tahara

Mr. Tahara is a famous calligraphy and painting artist with both virtue and art, although he has been dead for 7 years, but his voice and smile will never be forgotten!
In May 2001, Mr. Tahara came from Shenzhen to Ningning for cultural and artistic exchanges, when I was engaged in cultural news reporting in the weekend department of Jiangsu Workers Daily, and through the enthusiastic mediation of Professor Xu Lingzhi of the Fine Arts Department of Jiangsu Institute of Education, I was not only fortunate to interview Mr. Tahara, but also invited to listen to his open class to explain how to master painting skills for college students.
During the interview, I learned that Mr. Tahara is an accomplished artist who has grown up through diligent self-study. Because of the great emphasis on integrating folk art elements, his paintings are appreciated by both elegant and customary, with unique styles and deeply loved by people.
Listening to Mr. Tahara's lecture on the art of painting was a great benefit. When he was invited to walk into the Hongqiao Campus of Nanjing University of Technology to give a painting skills class to college students, the students were very interested due to their novel concepts and vivid explanations. In particular, the concepts of "intending to write first" and "painting 'unreasonable'" taught by him deeply inspired the students. Mr. Tahara's wonderful lectures have won warm applause many times! After the lecture, many students took photos with him. At that time, I, zhang Daoyi and Xu Lingzhi, two famous artists in the arts and crafts circles, not only listened to Mr. Tahara's lectures together, but also took a precious group photo with him in class after the class.
I remember that the next day, with interesting topics such as the origin of Mr. Tahara's pen name "Iiko", I conducted a detailed interview with him face to face.
According to Mr. Tahara, he was born in Shanghai in 1925 and his original name was Pan Youwei, and "Tahara" and "Rice Cow" were his pen names. Among them, the pen name of "Rice Cow" is because he belongs to the zodiac cattle, and he grew up in the Lishui countryside when he was a teenager and once let go of cattle, so he called himself "Rice Cow". Since taking the pen name "Rice Cow", Tahara not only loves to paint cattle, but also especially loves to collect crafts related to cattle.
After the interview, Mr. Tahara also invited me to his hotel to enjoy his newly created ink celebrity portrait scroll. Every art celebrity he paints in this long scroll is both vivid and vivid. Because I was the editor of the jiangsu workers' newspaper comic column "Laugh Bar" at that time, I specially photographed more than 10 artistic celebrities from this long scroll created by Mr. Tahara, which was published in the "Laugh Bar" column. In order to express his gratitude to me, Mr. Tahara gave me the work of writing "Bright and Clear" to me, which made me unexpectedly happy!
In the blink of an eye, it has been 20 years since the interview with Mr. Tahara. Whenever I admire Mr. Tahara's "Bright and Clear" book work written for me, and whenever I think of the beautiful past of interviewing him, Mr. Tahara's voice and smile seem to appear in front of my eyes again.
