Embiid's performances have been incredible this season, taking his game to the next level, becoming the biggest favourite for this year's MVP Awards. In a post-game interview to beat the Bulls, Embiid spoke about MVP's biggest rival, Jokic. He said the best players in the NBA right now are big men!
"Jokic is an amazing player. He's a monster. What he can do on the basketball court is really crazy," Embiid said of 2021 MVP Nikola Jokic.
"When you really see who's the best player, it's really big. Whether it's the letters, me, Jokic, don't forget that KD also has 7 feet..."
Embiid is telling the truth. While there are plenty of great defenders in the league, such as Morant, DeRozan, Paul, Curry and so on, the big men have really taken over the game over the past few seasons.
Currently, Embiid, Jokic and Alphabet Brother are the top three favourites for the MVP award. Does this tell us how dominant the big players have been throughout the season?
