At present, promoting the development of the equipment manufacturing industry has become a consensus of the whole society, and the state has also taken many measures in this regard. In last year's government work report, it was mentioned that the current 16% tax rate in manufacturing and other industries should be reduced to 13%, and with the help of scientific and technological means to empower the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry, so that more domestic and foreign users can choose Chinese manufacturing and Chinese services. In the view of Tang Yuxiang, deputy to the National People's Congress and president of Yutong Group, the construction of advanced manufacturing industry has become an important part of building a socialist modern power, and from the current point of view, the advanced equipment manufacturing industry has the conditions to go out.
Tang Yuxiang believes that in recent years, the domestic advanced equipment manufacturing industry, especially the new energy bus, has the conditions to make great strides to go out. Taking Yutong Bus as an example, after the national advocacy of the "Belt and Road", Yutong Bus focused on overseas markets, with a cumulative export of more than 64,000 vehicles to meet the demand for cars in overseas markets. While exporting high-quality products, Yutong Bus also exports technology to provide better development space for friends.
Over the years, Yutong Bus has deeply cultivated the market and has also achieved good results. Taking 2018 as an example, Yutong provided more than 300 Yutong buses for the event during the World Cup in Russia to solve the problem of athletes and staff transportation; Yutong exported 100 pure electric buses to Chile, refreshing the overseas new energy bus order record, and the cumulative sales volume in the Latin American market exceeded 20,000 units; established a sales service network in overseas markets, covering nearly 50 African countries, and exported more than 15,000 buses in total, providing travel convenience for the people of various countries.
Expanding overseas markets is the focus of enterprise development, but there are still challenges. Tang Yuxiang said that some overseas target market economies are relatively backward, financing capacity is limited, and there is a lack of financial security in infrastructure construction; on the other hand, many overseas countries have set up heavy trade barriers, market access is difficult, and traditional trade policies cannot be effectively supported.
Tang Yuxiang suggested that the state should introduce more policies conducive to the going out of advanced manufacturing industries in order to form a benign development trend.
