On the evening of August 21, two outstanding musicians from South Korea, Lu Meihui and Lu Shanying, will bring a romantic and tender cello and piano duet performance to the Kunming audience. The theme songs from the classic Korean dramas "You from the Stars" and "Full House of Romance", as well as the wonderful works of Schubert, Debussy and Chopin Masters, will be played by the gentle and gentle ensemble of the two artists, which will play exquisite melodies.
Cellist Lui Mei-hye places herself among Korea's finest cellists with her amazing playing skills and strong sense of melody, as well as a soloist recommended by world-renowned groups such as the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, as well as Sony Records' best-selling gold-medal classical musician.
It is understood that Mei Hui began to learn cello at the age of 6. After winning a series of awards in Korean domestic competitions, she decided to study abroad and asked her mother to find a school overseas that could provide the best music education. At the age of 16, Mei Hui was admitted to the Juilliard School of Music in the United States, a world-famous music temple, and later received a master's degree from the University of Michigan. Mei Hui's passion and skill in music has made her a favorite collaborator for many symphony orchestras.
Pianist Lu Shanying began studying at the age of 4 with music education masters Professor Minja Shi and Professor Minsuk Kim. During his studies at Seoul Arts High School and Dankook University, Lu Shanying won many awards in national music competitions, such as the Hankook Piano Competition, yookyoung Piano Competition, Korean Youth Piano Competition, etc.
The media spoke highly of Lu Shanying, calling her "a super talented pianist with a warm tone and wonderful talent." Lu Sun-young won the Silver Medal of the Senigaliya Rachmaninoff Piano Competition and is the most sought-after piano music talent in South Korea.
