B/R reporter Eric Pincus reported that Lakers center Monterrez Harrell preferred to execute a player option worth 9.7 million rather than test the waters of the free market.
Harrell averaged 13.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in the regular season, but after Drummond joined, his time was extremely unstable, and the playoffs fell out of the rotation.
