On March 4, 2022, the day of the Chinese traditional festival "February Second Dragon Rises", we admired the duan village of Fantian Town, Wen County, Henan Province, to see the style of this traditional ancient village.
In the past few days, villagers have opened the long-sealed photo albums at home, and in a pile of yellowed pictures, they have read the memories of the times. Cultural people working in the provincial city are working hard to collect and sort out old photos in the village, and will soon present tens of thousands of wonderful pictures of rural memories, so that readers can see the cultural style of the countryside and the beautiful memories of nostalgia in our hearts.
On October 12, 2021, the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Henan Province identified 217 villages as the sixth batch of traditional villages in Henan Province, and Duancun was the only village in Wen County to be selected for the list.
Duancun is located at the junction of three counties (cities) of Wen County, Mengzhou City and Qinyang City. The village covers an area of 2.7 square kilometers, with a total of 550 households and 1816 people. Duancun is a famous four major medicinal cultivation villages, and it is also a well-known longevity village. The villagers are simple and simple, and most of the people move to new homes without demolishing ancestral houses, so there are more ancient houses preserved. The whole village is quaint, the hutongs are winding, and the courtyard is simple, which truly retains the architectural characteristics of each period from the present to the middle of the Qing Dynasty for 300 years, and clearly freezes the characteristics of each era. The Song ancient mansion in the west of the village was built in the eighteenth year of the Qing Kangxi Dynasty (1679), which has a history of more than 300 years. The building wall is a rammed earth structure, the interior floor tiles, the door is thick, the door bolt threshold is sound, there is an eaves porch in front of the house, and there are pillars under the porch.
As an ancient village with a long history, Duan Village has attracted people's attention.
