On the way to the ancient village of Gantang in Jiangyong, I saw that there was a sign of Qianjia pass on the side of the road, and on the way back, I decided to turn in to see. "峒" has the meaning of a cave, Qianjia Pass is the name of this area, here and Jianghua, is also a Yao people's settlement, the word "Qianjia" can know that there were many people living here at that time.
The country road into the village is very well built, two lanes in both directions, the road is lined with continuous green mountains, and there are many giant windmills on the mountain, which adds a modern atmosphere to this mountain. The canola flowers in the field were blooming, a golden patch.
Because I didn't do the strategy beforehand, I didn't know what fun there was in Qianjia pass, and I was a bit aimless. Later, I saw a bull horn statue on the side of the road, which was very eye-catching, and stopped here.
The statue is a combination of bull horns and a long drum, an ancient musical instrument that, when seen, is reminiscent of ethnic minority brothers and sisters singing and dancing. So what is the allusion to the bull's horn? This will not be answered until you have visited The Pass.
Across the road not far from this sculpture, there is a black stone mountain with three large red characters engraved on the mountain, which is where the mouth of Qianjia pass is located. Sure enough, a cave was found at the foot of the mountain, and you can walk through the mountain with your head down, so it is also called piercing rock. What is so special about this ordinary-looking cave?
Originally, the small river next to the mountain was much wider, and people had to enter The Thousand Rivers, the most convenient thing was to walk through this cave, otherwise they had to turn over the mountain or rely on the ferry. The name of Qianjia pass is derived from this cave, which is a large flat area, which can be called a paradise.
According to the introduction next to it, there is also an ancient city ruins on the top of the rock, also known as the ancient battlefield, when the Yao compatriots built cottages on the mountain to resist foreign intrusions. However, at that time, I did not find that there was a way up the mountain, and later when I was swimming in the Daposhui Waterfall, I asked the staff and learned that there was something on the mountain. Unfortunately, it was late when I returned, and this place was missed.
It is said that during the Ming Dynasty, the grain collector went to Qianjia pass to collect grain, and because he was fascinated by the beautiful scenery in the mountains for a long time, the official family mistakenly thought that the grain collector was killed, so he raised an army to Qianjia Pass. The villagers had to flee their homeland, saw the horns of the bulls into twelve sections, and meet again after about five hundred years. This is the story behind that bullhorn statue, which is symbolically divided into twelve segments.
These days to go to some of the attractions of Hunan, may be a problem of funds, many places lack of normal maintenance, to tourists to visit also bring some trouble. Qianjia pass is like this, in fact, this is a very representative attraction, if you improve the tourist facilities, you will be able to attract more people to visit.
In those days, when the road was built next to the pass, part of the mountain by the river was cut off, so now it seems that the cave is very ordinary and does not feel its importance. If the bridge had been moved outward during the road construction, it would have been nice to keep the mountain, but unfortunately the road designers may not have realized this.
