What kind of honey is good? What should good honey look like?

author:Zhou Zhoujia

First of all, we must eliminate fake honey, process concentrated honey, and reconcile honey, which are not good honey.

According to my personal understanding of the industry, what kind of honey is really good honey?

I think good honey must have three criteria, namely honey source environment, natural ripe honey, and naturalness.

What kind of honey is good? What should good honey look like?

Naturally mature honey mature honey actually refers to the hard work of bees to brew mature natural honey without any artificial intervention. The nectar collected by bees must be fully processed and brewed by bees before it can be converted into honey. Honey making by bees is mainly divided into two steps, the first step is the collection of nectar. The second step is brewing. The nectar is collected by field bees and mixed with saliva containing invertase. After returning to the hive, the honey juice is received from the field bees by the internal bees and continues to mix with saliva to brew repeatedly. At the same time, the bees strengthen the fan wind, evaporate the water, and form a high concentration of honey. Mature honey has the nutrients that honey should have in the true sense; The immature honey is the harvest of nectar not fully brewed, mostly 1-2 days to take the honey, many nutrients are not comprehensive, insufficient, unstable. Generally in the sale, but also through mechanical dehydration concentration, this honey is generally called concentrated honey, processing honey. It does not have the nutritional value that honey should have. Mature honey is a healthy natural product that is fully brewed by bees without adding any artificial substances or removing any substances from them. "No artificial substances are added", that is, no starch, sugar, carbohydrate substitutes are added or mixed, and no preservatives, clarifiers, thickeners and other non-nutritious substances are added or mixed; "No substance is removed from it", that is, "concentrated honey" that is not immature honey that has been processed and artificially reduced its water content to less than 20%; "Full brewing" that is, after the nectar is repeatedly brewed by the bees to make the natural water content of honey less than 20%, from a scientific point of view, in the hive, the bees themselves brew mature honey with the highest nutritional value, the longest shelf life, just after filtering, filtering out the wax residue and larvae and other debris can be eaten directly, without any processing.

What kind of honey is good? What should good honey look like?

Honey source environment Honey source environment is actually very important, which directly affects the quality of honey. We beekeepers go into the mountains to catch up with the flowering period, one is more flowers, and there is good honey in a good honey source environment, if the location is close to the factory, the pollution is not good, easy to cause pollution to honey.

No added true natural natural ripe honey, is not artificially processed, can be eaten directly. This can really ensure the original nutritional content of honey. If the honey is concentrated at high temperature, it will seriously damage the nutrition of honey, and the active enzymes and trace elements in the honey disappear, and the honey will only be sweet, and it will be meaningless.
