Today is March 5, National Lei Feng Day.
All three of us went out. My wife and I went to Ganshan Park. The Beicheng Community Volunteer Service Team organized to go there to carry out Lei Feng activities. The two of us participated as part of our community dance team. My wife was the captain and I and six other team members took the initiative to participate in the event under her leadership.
In the morning, less than 8:30, we arrived at the event site. Ah, there are still a lot of people, all of them are various dance teams, most of them are fifty or sixty, sixty or seventy years old mothers, like me there are also uncles, not many. All of them were dressed in "volunteer" shoulders, some came with banners, some came with large flags, and they were busy taking photos.
The event began. First the organizers' brief speeches, and then the chorus "Learning from Lei Feng's Good Example" and "Without the Communist Party, There Would Be No New China", although I sang very well, I was very hardworking, very real, very excited, and very devoted. This was followed by two beautiful square dances and the energetic and cheerful dance of the kindergarten children, and finally the main activity of Learning Lei Feng - to pick up garbage in the corner of the park.
In front of the park, hospitals have long set up volunteer service sheds to carry out free clinic activities.
In fact, all units, social organizations, and schools have organized their own Lei Feng learning activities, going to different places to carry out various real Lei Feng learning activities. My son participated in the Lei Feng activities organized by the community party branch. They helped sanitation workers clean the streets for a morning.
