author:Dimensional time travel

The classic anime series Sherlock Holmes was screened from November 1984 to May 1985 and is miyazaki's last series of TV anime to date. At that time, it was also a popular work that was produced after going through difficulties and twists.

"Sherlock Holmes" tells the story of sherlock Holmes, a private investigator, and his partner Dr. Watson, who bravely fights against the evil people led by Professor Moriarty.

It is a film based on a collaborative program between Tokyo's Movie News Agency (now TMSENTERTAINMENT) and Italy's state broadcaster, the Italian Broadcasting Corporation.

Originally overseen by Hayao Miyazaki, the production of the series was not officially realized after four episodes were produced due to poor collaboration between Japan and Italy, and the project was put on hold until it was released at the same time as the 1984 theatrical animation "Valley of the Wind" and the 1986 "Castle in the Sky".

All of the characters in this game are depicted as anthropomorphic dogs. The character setting follows the character setting of the original novel, although there are some stories such as "Blue Garnet Garnet" and "Flower Band" that bear the title of the original novel, but they are basically the original plots of the production team.

The game tells the story of Holmes, who is paired with Watson, smiling against the intrigues and tricks of Professor Moriarty and his stupid assistant, as well as criminals such as Todd. Of the total 26 episodes in this game, 6 are supervised by Hayao Miyazaki, and the other episodes are supervised by Kyosuke Miyako.

In the original, Mrs. Hudson, the landlord of the house where Holmes and Watson lived, is an elderly woman, but in this work, she is set as a widow and becomes the heroine of the work, becoming a charismatic female character who is fascinated by her charm.

Holmes is not only a famous detective, but also plays the violin, immerses himself in the chemical experiments of mystery, and also depicts his wide range of interests as a strange man in this work. The anime also features natsume Kanesuke (later Natsume Soseki) assisting Holmes in his search, and in many places he consciously portrays Victorian London.

Steam-powered supermachines, confused crowds, and calm and bold heroines can all be seen in this work, such as the elements that often appear in Miyazaki's works.

Episode 9 of the game features a battleship engaged in an artillery battle on the River Thames, and episode 10, The Great Air Battle of the Strait of Dover! There is also a scene of Holmes riding a bicycle to catch up with a postal plane, and compared with the original Sherlock Holmes's work to solve the characteristics of the event with extreme reasoning, this game adds more elements of action.

The mechanical aspect is also everywhere in this work, and the meticulous details depict Dr. Molitia driving a steam car, a pterodactyl robot, a submarine, committing various crimes from land, sea and air, and the original Mercedes, the car that Holmes often drives, is also well restored in the animation, and even the rifling in the muzzle of the Enfield revolver held by Watson (the groove carved on the gun) is depicted in great detail.
