In January this year, the pre-sale of the new car of Changan UNI-K iDD, defined as "0 anxiety electromix SUV", was officially launched. As a blockbuster product launched by the Changan UNI family for consumers of new energy vehicles, the new car from comprehensive product strength to vehicle quality is in line with consumers' common anxieties and pain points about new energy vehicles. Recently, we had the honor to participate in the test drive of Changan UNI-K iDD, taking this opportunity to form a deeper and more granular understanding of the comprehensive product strength and market value of the new car.

When the borderless design meets the electromix SUV, how to play a new trick in the exterior interior?

When it comes to the UNI family's model products, consumers are impressed by the design of the exterior interior. Even compared with European and American multinational car companies, the styling design of UNI family models is still full of recognition. Before the official opening of this test drive, we conducted a static tasting of the exterior and interior of Changan UNI-K iDD. When I first saw a new car, I was impressed by the front face grille with a borderless design. The existence of the hexagonal matrix created by parametric techniques makes the Changan car logo in the middle appear more prominent and eye-catching, and then through the radial visual effect, the entire front face has more visual tension and conveys a more powerful aura. At the same time, the starship-style headlights are not only exquisite and elegant, but also embellished with gun gray aluminum plating, making the entire front face more futuristic and technological.

On the side, the hidden door handle that supports automatic induction makes the side face of the whole car appear more simple and dynamic, and with the cooperation of the 20-inch tomahawk aluminum alloy wheels, the side face of the whole car is given more movement genes. As the name suggests, this set of wheels adopts a two-tone cutting design, which echoes the minimalist design style on the side. Both aesthetics and practicality make the product value of the whole vehicle achieve a higher dimension of improvement. In terms of interior, sen aquamarine and gray are interspersed with each other, making the entire cockpit space have a texture like a planetary surface. The wrap-around shape design and the V-shaped quilting also make the shape of the whole car look more high-end and exquisite in the details. At the headrest of the seat, the "Toray" high-grade suede specially created for the new car also makes the interior design of the whole car more textured. For users, sitting in the UNI-K iDD car, you can feel the futuristic sense of starship, but also because of the existence of many high-end configurations, you can get a sense of comfort from the visual and tactile levels.

Charge fast, last longer, fuel consumption low: you know what you want

As the highlight of this test drive, the wonderful performance of UNI-K iDD also did not disappoint us in the dynamic test drive. At the moment of departure, I just lightly stepped on the accelerator with my foot, and there was a rapid pushing feeling rushing from behind. It can be seen that the Blue Whale NE1.5T hybrid special engine can form a better cooperation with the Blue Whale triple-clutch electric drive transmission, so that the vehicle can obtain more rapid acceleration when starting. It seems that the 100 km/h acceleration of the new car 8.1s is not in vain, and the speed of far exceeding 200 km/h also proves the excellent strength of the new car in terms of power performance. Thanks to the support of the iDD intelligent control system, the new car also performs very well in terms of energy management. With the support of multiple subsystems such as engines, motors, batteries, and transmissions, the driving modes such as pure electricity and hybrid power carried by the vehicle can also better meet the needs of users in different scenarios. Although the weight of the new car is more than 2 tons, the comprehensive fuel consumption of NEDC is as low as 0.8L/100km, and the fuel consumption of the KAPP is as low as 5L/100km, which shows that in the long-distance driving scenario, UNI-K IDD can well alleviate the user's energy consumption anxiety.

Test drive UNI-K iDD

As a plug-and-mix SUV with pure electric mode, the driving performance of UNI-K iDD in pure electric mode can naturally alleviate the user's battery life anxiety very well. The vehicle is equipped with a super capacity PHEV battery with a power of up to 30.74kWh, and the new car has a pure electric endurance of up to 130km and a comprehensive endurance of up to 1100km, and the user's daily commuting can completely rely on pure electric mode. In terms of charging, the three charging methods of 220V home charging, AC and DC fast charging can also achieve better complementarity, so that users no longer have to worry about charging time or inconvenient charging conditions.

Intelligent cockpit interaction + adaptive cruise: SUVs within 200,000 are not OK

In the era of "smart cars running all over the street", many independent brands will strive to improve the level of intelligent technology of their new cars, by unlocking more hard-core technology, so that users can get a more scientific and technological human-vehicle interaction experience, so that users can spend more energy on safe driving when traveling. As a plug-and-mix SUV for young people, UNI-K iDD's performance in smart technology should not be underestimated.

The IMS Intelligent Cockpit Interaction System is equipped with the vehicle. When you start the vehicle for the first time, you can receive an exclusive greeting. When the front passenger answers the phone, the system will automatically reduce the multimedia volume, and when the front seat is recognized to be smoking, the system will appropriately open the window and purification system according to the speed of the car, so as to ensure the physical and mental health of all passengers. If we want to wake up the center control screen that is sleeping while driving, just a 1-second gaze can easily do it. Moreover, the system can also fully monitor the driver's status, and can divide the fatigue driving level according to the frequency of the driver's blinking and yawning, and intervene with voice warning, music refreshment, funny and other ways.

In addition, when the vehicle is driving at high speed, there is no excessive noise transmission of the whole car, except for some wind noise and tire noise, almost no sound can be heard. It can be seen that the NVH performance of this car is also very good. From 26 acoustic materials to the depth optimization of the windward section of the A-pillar, more noise is eliminated at the source, resulting in a more quiet spatial performance. Although we tried all kinds of sharp acceleration and cornering during this test drive, we were not affected by too much impact on the way, which shows that the "zero gravity" seat filling system used by this car also allows us to obtain more comfortable and comprehensive back support at all times.

Conclusion

Taking advantage of this test drive, we found that the first electromixed SUV of the UNI family would use a suffix such as iDD instead of an abbreviation like PHEV that friends like to use. The reason is precisely because Changan Automobile wants consumers who have independent thinking about plug-in SUVs to find better choices. After the end of this test drive, we believe that Changan Automobile has stronger confidence and determination, so that more consumers can deepen their recognition of the hard verification strength of UNI-K iDD, and believe that after the listing this year, UNI-K iDD will become a "blockbuster" in the plug-and-mix SUV market segment.
