
WWE Hall of Famer Sting "Defected to enemy camp" and jumped ship to AEW.
As seen in this week's AEW Dynamite, Sting appears on the show, and he will speak in Dynamite next week. According to a number of wrestling media reports, Sting signed a multi-year contract with AEW this time.
Sting signed for WWE in 2014, but the contract expired as early as May this year. In October, WWE removed all of Sting's peripheral products in the WWE store.
Sting's last wrestling was at the 2015 WWE Championship Tournament, when his opponent was seth Rollins, then WWE World Heavyweight Champion, during which Rawlings threw a corner post bomb at Sting, causing Sting to be seriously injured due to a mismatch in coordination, and sting was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the following year.
