Li Jun, who left the cowshed in 1971 to continue working in the cadre school, was ready to take root in the countryside for a lifetime, but the opportunity to make a movie would come quietly. He used to be a "serf" and "Muslim detachment", and he had not touched a movie for eight years, and this time he accepted the shooting task of a children's film "Shining Red Star".

Li Jun, who rushed to the Bayi Factory, learned that the script had not yet been fully formed, but the superiors asked to get on the horse immediately. It is also a beautiful name: it is a matter of attitude that cannot be shot out of the picture, and it is a matter of level if it is not shot well.
Even if the time is tight and the task is heavy, it is not a day's work to make a movie. When Shi Wei was supposed to shine as an actor, he was suspended because of the Cultural Revolution.

In order to find Pan Dongzi and Chun Lingzi in the film, as an assistant director, she ran through the primary schools in various districts of Beijing, met hundreds of children, and determined the candidates after layers of selection. Shi Wei, who could not play the film, finally taught Zhu Xinyun and Liu Jizhong to become the Pan Dongzi and Chun Lingzi in the film.
It is not a simple thing to really turn a small actor into a revolutionary little fighter in the film. Everyone agrees that the children's image is not bad, and the biggest problem is that they are all fine skin and tender flesh, white and fat! The only proven way to solve this problem is "exercise"! So the children came to the countryside of Jiangxi, not only the hot sun was empty every day, but they could wear straw shoes and arrows like flying, and learned to catch birds in trees and fish in rivers. Over time, they were almost the same as the children in the local village, becoming darker and thinner, and closer to the characters.
At this time, the film can officially start shooting. It's the autumn season, and the eyes are full of golden colors, which are the colors that childhood should have. The colorful colors shown in the lens are filled onto the screen, which is what a real children's film looks like.
However, when some samples were sent back to the factory for review, the reply given by the superiors was that aestheticism was too serious, and it was a black line resurgence. There is no reason to complain, and the main creators can only obey the order to destroy the never. When the next spring, the film resumed shooting, and Li Jun and they carried the camera back to Pan Dongzi's world, a world where black and white are so simple and clear.
In the face of green mountains and green waters, pines and cypresses, the inner "aestheticism" of the film crew began to "stir". For a simple eighteen-word description: a bay of green water sandwiched between the green mountains on both sides of the strait, a bamboo row down the river.
The photographer used more than a dozen lenses to stitch together the entire set of pictures, and at the suggestion of composer Fu Gengchen, accompanied by a high-spirited and beautiful interlude, which was later widely sung,"Red Star Shines on Me to Fight". The sound-shaped unity is like a flowing landscape painting, which has become a classic fragment on the screen.
Children in the war years have an unusual meaning for the red five-star. Before dad joined the Red Army, Uncle Red Army came to Pan Dongzi's hometown. The red five stars became the symbol of the Red Army in their minds, and they beat up local tycoons and divided up the land to bring hope to the poor people. However, after the transfer of the large troops of the Red Army, even the most beautiful pictures foreshadowed an even more bloody rain. The appearance of Hu Hansan, a local tycoon landlord, changed Pan Dongzi's happy childhood.
After her mother's sacrifice in the raging fire, Dongzi seemed to have suddenly become mature. Influenced by that era, our Pan Dongzi, with a wisdom and sharpness rarely found in children, tactfully dipped salt water on cotton clothes and brought them into the mountains blocked by the enemy. Even in the confrontation with Hu Hansan, he completed the task that should be done by adults. People don't mind the flaws in the middle. I only hope that the bad guys will be killed quickly, Yingshan Hong will open up soon, and the Red Army will come back soon.
The film was filmed on location
In 1974, the Bayi Factory mobilized elite soldiers and completed the filming of "Shining Red Star" around several children. There is unanimous agreement that this is an excellent film. However, the superiors still put forward thirty-four amendments: "For example, Dongzi's mother's sacrifice is not heroic enough, and there should be more struggle with the enemy; Hu Hansan should be cut down by Pan Dongzi when he is drunk... and so on". Fortunately, the film allowed to be revised while it was released.
In 1975, people rushed to watch "Shining Red Star", so fond of Pan Dongzi's love and hatred, wit and bravery. Maybe it was years of cultural barrenness, maybe it was the simplicity and cuteness of Pan Dongzi, in short, Pan Dongzi was only eleven years old at that time, which was in line with everyone's imagination of children.
