Gu Xiaobin, a native of Ruijin, Jiangxi, was born in 1971. Graduated from School of Management, Shenzhen University. Social Science Research Scholar. Specially invited researcher of Fujian Hakka Research Institute, senior researcher of China Academy of Management Sciences, vice president of Hakka Friendship Association of Danzhou City, Hainan, chairman of Gujia Liquor (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., editor-in-chief of "Zhonghua Gushi", and director of Zhonghua Gushi website. He is also a visiting researcher of the Hakka Research Center of the Taiwan Research Institute of Beijing Union University, an advisor of the Guangdong Hakka Overseas Friendship Association, the deputy executive director and deputy secretary-general of the Global Hakka Chongzheng Association Federation, an officer of the China Poetry Development Department, a special contributor to the Southern Poetry Newspaper, a guest editor of the Campus Newspaper, a member of the Preparatory Committee of the Gu Chengzhi Memorial Hall, an editorial board member of the Outline of Modern Chinese Poetry in the World, a specially invited editorial board member of the Yearbook of the Development and Research of Modern Chinese Poetry, an editorial board member of "Eternal Remembrance - Commemorating the 110th Anniversary of the Birth of Marshal Ye Jianying", an editorial board member of "The Anniversary of the Birth of Marshal Ye Jianying", Editor-in-chief of Hainan Hakka Newsletter, honorary member of Hunan Yanhuang Culture Research Association.
Mr. Gu Xiaobin is mainly engaged in the study of Hakka culture and surname culture, dabbling in poetry and literature, paying attention to field research, and has traveled to more than 20 provinces and cities at his own expense and spent more than 30 years to conduct research and record many precious historical materials. In particular, there have been achievements in the study of Hakka and Gu culture in Hainan. There are nearly 300 genealogies in private collections, the earliest of which is a fragment of the Qianlong edition of the Qing Dynasty.
