Shao Yixin (1974-) was born in Linyi, Shandong, zi Mochuan, formerly known as Mingfa, graduated from the Arts and Crafts School in 1997, studied under Zhang Heyun and Tian Shiguang, studied in the Chinese flower and bird painting Zhang Heyun advanced research class, and studied in the provincial artists association flower and bird sketching class.
He is a national first-class artist, a member of China Literature Network, a member of the Chinese Contemporary Calligraphy and Art Celebrity Research Association, an academician of the Beijing Huaxia Academy of Art and Calligraphy, a first-class artist of the China Wang Xizhi Art Research Institute, a member of the Shandong Provincial Artists Association, a distinguished professor of Shandong Wensheng Education, a director of the Linyi Calligraphers Association, a director of the Linyi Artists Association, and a full-time calligrapher and painter who is the vice president of the Linyi Qiwen Zhai Calligraphy and Painting Institute.
Good at flowers, birds and landscapes, especially good at painting fish, his works have won awards in domestic and foreign, provincial and municipal exhibition competitions, and have been included in the compilation of "Chinese Contemporary Collected Calligraphy and Painting Works", "Huaxia Dragon Classic", "Grand View of Works of Famous Calligraphers and Painters at Home and Abroad" and other painting classics. He has published "Mochuan Chinese Painting Aquarium Works Collection", "Mochuan Chinese Painting Works Selection", "Langya Mochuan Ink Flower and Bird Works Collection", "Drama Ink Love Rhyme", "Qi Wen Zhai Famous Artists Collection" and other albums.
In 1999, his works were selected for the first national and Chinese painting exhibition. In 2002, he was selected for the national art exhibition commemorating the 60th anniversary of Mao Zedong's "Speech at the Yan'an Forum on Literature and Art". In 2011, he participated in the "Qilu Style" Chinese Painting Exhibition. In 2012, he was named "the painter with the most collectible value and appreciation potential of the 21st century". In 2013, he participated in the International Competition of Chinese Painters and won the first prize.
