In order to carry forward the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation of "respecting the elderly, respecting the elderly and loving the elderly" and practicing the spirit of Lei Feng, on the afternoon of March 3, 2022, a total of 40 teachers and students volunteers from the "Learning Lei Feng Volunteer Service Team" led by Vice President Qin Guangzhi of our school went to the nursing home with labor tools to carry out the love volunteer activity of "practicing the spirit of Lei Feng, warming and respecting the old people's home".
Once in the nursing home, our school volunteers offer condolences and help to the elderly: tidy up the room, clean up, beat the back and massage, chat with the elderly... Let the old people show a big smile. The help within their ability and the simple intention are the volunteers' care for the elderly and another embodiment of Lei Feng's spirit.
"Give someone a rose, and your hand will have a lingering fragrance." Through the love volunteer activities, the volunteers realized that caring for the elderly is the responsibility of the whole society, and also gained the sense of happiness and pride of learning Lei Feng's love. All teachers and students will take the "Learning Lei Feng Volunteer Service Month" as an opportunity to practice the Lei Feng spirit with practical actions and turn the Lei Feng spirit into lasting actions.
