——Xiangtan County police crack the current theft case
On February 27, the Meilinqiao Police Station of the Xiangtan County Public Security Bureau arrested a criminal suspect during patrol prevention and control, and cracked an existing theft case.
Recently, there have been many cases of theft of three-way catalytic converters from cars in the jurisdiction of Meilinqiao Police Station. To this end, the patrol squadron of the institute quickly adjusted its work strategy, and further strengthened the patrol duty and the intensity and density of inspection and inspection in key areas of urban areas and areas where the crime occurred.
At about 3:00 a.m. on February 27, when the patrol team patrolled to a parking lot on Biquantan Road in Yilihe Town, they found a suspicious vehicle parked at the entrance of the parking lot, with oxygen welding and other equipment next to the vehicle, and two other men were very suspicious in the parking lot.
After a search of the two people and the vehicle, it was found that they were carrying oxygen welding, jacks and other crime tools. Subsequently, the two were summoned to the law enforcement case handling area of the county bureau for further investigation. After interrogation, Bian X (male, 37 years old) and Ma X (male, 34 years old) truthfully confessed the criminal facts of stealing a car ternary catalyst in the Yiwuhe District of Xiangtan County this year.
At present, Bian X and Ma X have been criminally detained according to law for suspected theft, and the case is being further handled.
