Recently, as an alternative game that has been a huge success in Kickstarter, developer Eric Thullen announced that his VR dungeon adventure game "Ancient Dungeon" has been officially released on the Quest Store, but there is no specific release date. Eric Thullen said that whenever it is released, the game content will coincide with the major content updates the team is making.
It is reported that "Ancient Dungeon" is currently available in a free beta version of Quest through App Lab. Presumably, the official store launch will mark the transition to a beta version of the game, so it could shift from a free experience to a paid one, just like on Steam.
It is understood that "Ancient Dungeon" is a pixel-style VR dungeon game produced and published by Eric Thullen, which was launched on PC VR through Itch.io in early 2020, debuted on Quest through SideQuest in late 2020, and then entered the Quest Application Lab and Steam Early Access for PC VR in 2021.
Like other games of its kind, Ancient Dungeon takes players into an ancient dungeon where players can fight with swords, knives, and arrows. In addition, there are other classic dungeon gameplay elements in the game, including discovering hidden treasures, dodging deadly traps, and smashing all chests along the way.
