Shaoyang Central Hospital Headquarters and East Hospital work together to open up a "green channel" for 71-year-old patients with internal fistula blockage

Red Net Moment, February 26 (Correspondent Dai Aiming) Recently, the Department of Nephrology of Shaoyang Central Hospital received a 71-year-old grandmother, accompanied by her children, with a sad face and a large bandage hanging from her right hand. After carefully inquiring about the condition, it was learned that she was a patient who had received hemodialysis for a long time, and the old man accidentally fell down a few days ago, resulting in an injury to the right shoulder joint, and the next day after the injury, there was an arteriovenous fistula blockage of the right upper limb, and gradually appeared swelling of the right upper limb, because there were too many hospitalized patients during the Spring Festival holiday, and it took several twists and turns to live in the nephrology department. There had been a few days of delay in hospitalization, and now the arteriovenous fistula was not twitching and trembling, no vascular murmur was heard, and the swelling of the right limb was progressively aggravated, more than double that of the left limb.

Patients who have undergone multiple surgeries before have developed a fear of surgery and are unable to accept to change to ostomy in the left limb, or to change to long-term intrajugular vein tubing and peritoneal dialysis catheterization, nor are they willing to go to higher hospitals for surgery. In response to this situation, the nephrology department of the hospital communicated with the vascular surgery department and decided to solve the patient's central vein and peripheral vascular access problems at the same time.

In order to perform surgery on patients in a timely manner, the interventional operating room of the East Hospital was borrowed for surgery. Through communication and coordination, the two hospitals immediately reached an agreement to open a green channel for the patient to ensure the smooth progress of the operation.

The operation was carried out smoothly thanks to the cooperation between the headquarters of the hospital and the functional departments of the East Hospital, everything from the patient's point of view, and the cooperation of the MDT team of the central hospital to provide a full range of services, and successfully solved the patient's vascular access barrier.
