Day 2: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Blue Moon Valley

Jade Lake is an artificial lake dug by the Mu family before the Ming Dynasty. The Mu clan built a summer palace, a jade dragon academy, and a deer farm on the shore of the lake. The earliest inhabitants of Yuhu Village were the people who raised deer for the Naxi King's Palace.
Naxi folk songs also often mention jade lakes and snowy mountain deer farms. The ancestors of the Naxi people, the Guqiang, migrated from the northwest region of China to settle in the area of Yuhu Village.
