Volvo 1800 ES
In 1968, Volvo began considering updating its famous P1800 S coupe model.
Thus, the 1800 ES appeared in 1971. This two-door hunter-picker, or station wagon, offered an absolutely stylish design at the time, with smooth and tight lines.
The all-glass rear tailgate is a symbol of the model, impressive and inspired the design of subsequent models such as the Volvo 480 and C30.
Despite its reliable quality and decent power, the model did not achieve the desired market success that year. Only 8,077 units were produced between 1971 and 1973, mostly in the United States.
This one is one of the few 111 cars sold in France. It comes with some rare features such as sunroofs and power windows.
Compared to the previous 1800 version, the rear of the 1800ES is definitely an innovation, with an extended roof line, a car's shape more reminiscent of manor life, and increased luggage capacity, providing extra space for golf (picture| configuration| inquiry) or hunting equipment.
