On February 19, the construction of two mainland-aided isolation and treatment facilities in Hong Kong, Penny Bay and Kai Tak Ferry Pier in Hong Kong, officially started, with more than 100 engineering vehicles entering the site one after another, with 24-hour uninterrupted construction. After China State Construction Group Co., Ltd. contacted Sinopec Hong Kong Company as the project builder, the Hong Kong company provided 24-hour door-to-door refueling services for construction vehicles by dispatching additional tank trucks, ensuring the smooth progress of the construction of 530,000 square meters and ensuring that nearly 10,000 isolation units could be put into use as soon as possible. Sinopec Hong Kong also said that it will give the same support to the construction of the isolation point project in the Yuen Long area in the later stage.
The news that "the number of new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Hong Kong exceeded 1,000 for the first time in a single day" came out on February 9, making many Hong Kong citizens realize that the situation of the epidemic has become more and more severe. In order to ensure that the daily gas consumption of Hong Kong citizens during the epidemic period is not affected, Sinopec Hong Kong Company arranged for special personnel to carry testing equipment to conduct a comprehensive inspection of oil and gas pipelines along the route to ensure normal terminal sales and meet the normal needs of 60,000 residents. At present, Sinopec Hong Kong Company has optimized the scheduling so that the 54 refueling (gas) stations in Hong Kong have always been open 24 hours during the epidemic period, and all vehicles can be "added on arrival". The Tsing Yi Oil Depot also implemented grid management of the work site during the epidemic period to achieve relative isolation of personnel, staggered posts, reduce cross-infection, and always maintain the normal operation of oil products.
