Holliday's current contract is only one year away, and according to michael Scotto, there was no discussion of an early contract extension between the Wizards and Holliday — even though the Wizards liked him.
The Wizards may reportedly make another assessment at the end of the season, when Holliday will become a restricted free agent.
Last season, Holliday played in 66 games, averaging 7.2 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.
