Designed by Yevheniia Dubrovska for art collectors, this apartment is located in the historic center of Kiev and is both the protagonist and supporting role of art itself. Inside, the walls of the entire apartment are covered with works by young artists all over the globe. High ceilings and irregular room shapes create plenty of opportunities for Dubrovska to play with this design. The white walls are dotted with brilliant splashes of blue from wall to ceiling, while curved timber inserts act as buffers between spaces. In the living room, a more traditional wit was adopted, recreating the ceiling shape. Together with curtains, wooden window portals and large canvases, the correct proportions of the interior are preserved. Functionally, the apartment is divided into two areas, a common area with a living room, kitchen, office, guest rooms and laundry, and the main area features a large bedroom, a wardrobe and a bathroom. The kitchen connects the common areas to the private areas, while also accessing the office space is accessible through specially designed doors.
Impressive clients' own vintage furniture is spread throughout Europe in apartments. Among the clients' favorite vintage discoveries, the stained glass windows follow an Art Deco motif, achieved by correcting the shape of the wall arches. In the bathroom, a beautiful large window blows daylight in, cleverly adding a removable mirror to provide privacy when showering. Classic retro and minimalist elements manage to live comfortably under one roof.
