Collecting may be meaningless, but it must be interesting.

The late writer Yang Dai once said: The good things in the world do not last long, and the clouds are easy to scatter and the glass is brittle. This sentence speaks of the hardships and helplessness of life, and life cannot withstand the destruction of time after all.

There was a time when I thought that collecting my favorite things was equivalent to keeping time. Collecting a large number of old books and ancient ceramics that you like on the Internet and offline is like a talented person saving a poor beauty who has fallen into the rolling red dust. But things are getting more and more, and they are endless. There are only people who are shy and can't afford to pay, and there is no treasure that can't be bought under the heavy hit gold. And no matter what the ending, the highest realm of domestic and foreign collection is to enter the national or public museum, turn private into public, and live for hundreds of years. Of course, only one in ten thousand fine products have this treatment, estimated at 99.99%, after people go, the building is empty, and the collection is red dust and scattered. It's very sad, is it that what has been collected with great effort and great price is so meaningless to individuals? The answer is yes, but it is not too depressed and discouraged. Little meaning, does not mean little meaning. Long life, if there is no such and such interesting thing, how can you have an end? If there is no ancient book and ancient porcelain to play with the collection, will it be more boring?!

Therefore, I think collecting can be meaningless, but for the vast majority of people, as long as it is fun and interesting at the time, it is enough. Why not?
