In the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Guan Yu had three sons, namely Guan Ping, Guan Xing, and Guan Suo. In history, Guan Yu's well-documented sons are only related to Ping and Guan Xing, and Guan Suo has no relevant records. Let's elaborate on the difference between Yanyi and Guan Yu's son in history.
Guan Ping
In the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Guan Ping was originally the second son of Guan Ding in Hebei. Guan Yu rode alone for thousands of miles, looking for Liu Bei to pass through the head of the Hebei border, and when he boarded at Guan Dingzhuang, because Guan Ping had always admired Guan Yu and intended to follow, plus Guan Yu had no heirs at that time, Liu Bei took the initiative to let Guan Yu adopt Guan Ping as a righteous son. Since then, Guan Ping has been following Guan Yu and was active during Liu Bei's capture of Yizhou and Guan Yu's Northern Expedition to Xiangfan. Until Guan Yu defeated Maicheng, Guan Ping and Guan Yu were captured and killed by wu forces.

This account does not say that Guan Ping was Guan Yu's adopted righteous son, and considering that historical sources such as the Shu Ji and the Huayang Guozhi once mentioned that Cao Cao and Liu Bei joined forces to attack Lü Bu and trapped him in Xia Pi, Guan Yu asked Cao Cao to marry Lü Bu's ex-wife Du Shi (杜氏), on the grounds that his wife was unable to have children. Therefore, the real Guan Ping should have been born after the Battle of Xia Pi, that is, after 198 AD. Then in 220 AD, when Guan Ping died, he was at most in his early twenties, just an adult, and he was younger at the time of the Battle of Yizhou, and it was obvious that the deeds of Guan Ping in the rendition were unlikely to exist.
Guan Xing
In the rendition, Guan Xing appeared after the 74th Guan Yu flooded the Seventh Army, and during the Northern Expedition of Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang, he became the backbone of the Shu army together with Zhang Fei's son Zhang Bao, and made many achievements in battle. Later, Guan Xingying died of illness on the eve of Zhuge Liang's last Northern Expedition.
In history, the record of Guan Xing is richer than that of Guan Ping, and it is mentioned in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms that Guan Xing was very famous when he was a teenager, and Zhuge Liang was very important to him. At the age of twenty, Guan Xing, who had inherited his father's title, was again given the title of Attendant and Lieutenant Commander, and held an important position. Unfortunately, guan Xing died of illness within a few years. Therefore, most of the deeds of Guan Xing in the rendition are also fictional, and only one of his untimely deaths can match it.
(Guan) Xingzi Anguo, rarely asked, Xiang Zhuge Liang deeply different. The weak crown is a servant and a lieutenant, and a few years old.
GuanSuo
Guan Suo has very little role in the act. On the eve of Zhuge Liang's southern expedition in the eighty-seventh "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", Guan Suo, who fled to Baojiazhuang to recuperate from illness during the fall of Jingzhou, recovered and came to Yizhou to defect. Zhuge Liang ordered him to be the vanguard of the front and march south together. After that, Guan Suo first helped Zhang Ling and Zhang Yisheng capture Dong Yana and Ah Huilan, and then together with Wang Ping, led Meng Yu into the ambush circle, defeated the barbarian army together with Zhang Ling and Zhang Yi, and made a great contribution to the capture of Meng. However, since then, Guan Suo has not appeared again, fading out of people's vision.
However, compared with the yanyi, the historical Guan Suo is not recorded in the slightest, and it is completely a fictional character, and naturally there is no comparison.
From the above comparison, it can be seen that in history, Guan Yu can confirm only two sons, one less than in the interpretation. Moreover, the deeds of Guan Ping and Guan Xing are also very different from each other, and the difference is still quite large.
