In the late 1910s, decorators tried to get rid of the zigzag curves of Art Nouveau, and they found many new sources of inspiration: traditional and contemporary, European and exotic, so different styles such as African art and neoclassicism provided a strong impetus. With "Art Deco", Dupont offered a series of limited edition collections inspired by the design works exhibited at the Art Deco exhibition in Paris in April 1925, thus setting off a new decorative movement. This unique collection consists of five pieces with an absolutely modern form, made of metal and decorated with red and black Chinese lacquer.
