Wang Qingyu is a native of Xinxu, who has successively engaged in calligraphy and painting creation and agency work in Beijing, Guangdong and other places. As he grew older, his hometown complex became stronger and stronger, especially the artistic grandeur of Xinxu for more than 500 years impressed him, and he resolutely decided to return to his hometown to develop his own artistic career and actively devote himself to the construction of beautiful villages in Xinxu.
Calligrapher and painter Wang Qingyu: "One of my long-cherished wishes for many years is to return to my hometown to develop and revitalize the glorious culture and art of that year. I also borrowed the beautiful mountains and cultural heritage here to build my personal art museum, and from time to time carry out some calligraphy and painting exchange activities to make a little contribution to the prosperity of our Xin'an painting school and Huizhou culture. ”
Since the implementation of the provincial beautiful countryside construction people's livelihood project in 2020, with the active participation of Wang Qingyu, Fang Shunlai and other Xinxu township sages and villagers, closely focusing on the standard of "supporting facilities, neat village appearance, excellent ecology and distinctive characteristics", we have actively carried out the construction of front and back of the house, dredging of water channels, widening and hardening of roads, construction of sewage pipe networks, water improvement and toilets, weak electricity to the ground, lighting and upgrading, and village greening, and built important nodes such as the Bingbu Waiter Hall and the Xinyuan Art Museum.

Wang Qingyu: "There are records in the history books, but there is no original map, so after literature research and field investigation, everyone sat together and pondered more than ten drafts to form a satisfactory manuscript, and then moved the creation on rice paper to this wall. Painting on the wall is more difficult than on paper, the ink will flow down, and the hand has no support. At that time in August, the weather was very hot, the sweat was constant, and painting under such conditions was a great test for the painter himself. ”
Wang Qingyu coordinated the other four painters, and it took nearly a week to finally complete the "Four Landscapes of Xinxu". Looking at the original monotonous Huizhou wall being decorated with chic and elegant decoration, Wang Qingyu had an idea. Because Xinxu Village has loved to build high walls since ancient times, almost every household has a high wall, so it is better to promote the wall painting practice in the village, and to jump the prosperous history and culture of Xinxu on the wall to create a major feature in the construction of beautiful villages.
