He once served as the director of the editorial office and deputy editor-in-chief of Lingnan Fine Arts Publishing House, and the editor-in-chief of Weekend Pictorial.

In early 1980, the "Weekend" pictorial newspaper, founded and edited by him, had a maximum circulation of 1.8 million copies, and was known as the "King of The Little Tabloids of Yangcheng".

In 1988, "Weekend" Pictorial won the "Golden Ring Award" (the highest award) of the third national comic strip newspaper, and it was awarded the title of "Excellent Editor-in-Chief".

In December 2006, he won the first Guangzhou City Art Achievement Award.

In July 2009, he was awarded the certificate and commemorative medal of "60 Years of Engaging in New Chinese Literary and Art Work" by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

In May 2010, he was awarded the title of "Top Ten Cultural People of Contemporary Guangdong". In September 2013, he won the "Outstanding Contribution Award" of the Golden Dragon Fund of the 6th China International Comics Festival.

His biography has been included in more than 10 large dictionaries such as "Biography of World Artists" and "1949-1989 Chinese Art Yearbook".

In 2014, after 8 years of struggle, it was painted into a long volume of "Foshan 100 Historical Celebrities Atlas", with a total length of more than 40 meters and a height of 0.6 meters.

In 2018, he completed the Cantonese opera comic strip "Search Academy", nearly 100 paintings.
