Gaolang West Road (Yuanxi Road - Lihu Avenue) engineering line is generally east-west, starting from the intersection of Yuanxi Road in the west, passing through the north gate of Jiangnan University, and reaching Lihu Avenue in the east, with a total length of about 1.87 kilometers, and the whole line passes in a tunnel type.
The main line is an urban expressway, with a design speed of 80 km / h, and a standard section of six lanes in both directions.
The first phase of Gaolang Road (Lihu Avenue - Linghu Avenue) starts from the Lihu Avenue Academic Interchange in the west and ends at the abutment on the west side of the Gaolang Bridge in the east, with a total length of 8.16 kilometers.
The layout type of "West Tunnel East Bridge" is generally adopted. The main line has 6 lanes in both directions + 6 lanes in both directions on the auxiliary road, and the main line is an urban expressway, with a design speed of 80 km /h.
The project has started construction in 2020, the elevated section is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic in the third quarter of 2022, and the entire line is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic in mid-2023.
Gaolang Road Phase II (Linghu Avenue - South Changjiang Road) starts from the west abutment of Gaolang Bridge in the west, connects to the first phase of Gaolang Road, passes through Canal West Road, Chengnan Road, Beijing-Shanghai Railway, Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway and Zhujiang Road to the east, and ends at the intersection of Changjiang South Road in the east, connecting with the elevated main line of Gaolang Road at the airport interchange, with a total length of 1.85 kilometers.
2. Reconstruction and expansion of National Highway 312
The rapid development of the "main artery" of the North Ring Road- 312 National Highway directly connects Suzhou and Changzhou, and has become an important fast track for the integration of the Yangtze River Delta and the integration of Suzhou and Xichang.
The starting point of the Huishan section of National Highway 312 (Fengxiang Road - Qianrong Road) is located on the east side of Fengxiang Road, connecting with the current Tianyi Elevated Highway, along the current old route to the west, and ending at the west side of Qianrong Road, following the current Luoxin Elevated Highway, with a total length of about 7.11 kilometers.
The main line has two-way six lanes + hard shoulder (no hard shoulder in the local old bridge utilization section), and the design speed is 80 km / h.
The reconstruction and expansion project of the Xishan section of National Highway 312 starts on the west side of the Xiyu interchange, connects with the Beixintang Bridge, goes west along the old route, and continuously crosses Xisha Road, Huijian Road, Zhongyuan Road and Tongjiang Avenue on the main line on the east side of Xisha Road, and finally reaches the west side of Tongjiang Avenue and the boundary of Xishan Huishan District, with a total length of about 3.24 kilometers.
The main line has six lanes in both directions + hard shoulders, and the design speed is 80 km / h. Construction of the project began in 2021 and is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic in 2022.
The reconstruction and expansion project of the Xinwu section of National Highway 312 starts at the south side of Feifeng Road on the north bank of the Wangyu River, and ends at the boundary of Xinwu District and Xishan District on the north side of Jincheng East Road, with a total length of 17.1 kilometers.
The main line is built according to the standard of the first-class highway, and the design speed is 80 km / h. Construction of the project begins in 2021 and is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2023.
3. Qianrong Expressway Project
The rapid development of Qianrong Road, the "main artery" of the West Ring Road, will effectively promote the integration and development of Taihu New Town, Taihu Science and Technology Innovation Belt, Lihu Future City and the central urban area.
Qianrong Expressway (312 National Highway - Meiyuan Interchange) starts from National Highway 312 in the north, passes through Sheng'an West Road, Shangwei Road, Qianhu Road, Qianrong Road, Dachi Road, south of Meiyuan Interchange, and in the long term connects with the Huicheng Avenue Expressway Program, forming a north-south expressway on the west side of the city.
The total length is about 8.9 km. It is proposed to adopt a two-way 6-lane elevated highway on the main line and a two-way 4-6 lane surface road on the auxiliary road.
Qianrong Road Expressway extends south (Meiyuan Interchange - Gaolang West Road) from Meiyuan Interchange in the north, connects to the elevated section of the northern section of Qianrong Road, passes through Taihu Lake Highway, Jianshe Road, Taihu West Avenue, Lihu New Town (Huanhu Road), crosses Lihu Lake, Changguangxi, and south of Gaolang West Road, with a total length of about 9.1 kilometers.
The main line two-way 6-lane tunnel is adopted, and the auxiliary road is a two-way 4-6 lane surface road.
In addition, by the end of 2021, the metro group has completed a total of 4 urban rail transit lines, with a total length of 112.8 kilometers and 81 stations, which also means that the city's rail transit has officially entered the era of network operation.
After the completion of the third phase of the approved construction plan, Wuxi will form 6 operating lines with a total length of 172.7 kilometers of rail transit network, plus Xicheng S1 line and Xiyi S2 line, which means that Xicheng and Xiyi will be integrated at the rail level.
Metro Line 4 Phase II: Interchange with Line 3 Phase I at Wuxi New District Station
It starts from the Expo Center Station of the first phase of Line 4 and ends at Xishi Road Station, which is about 8.6 kilometers long and is an underground line.
The line is laid along Zhenze Road and Xinhua Road, passing through the Economic Development Zone and Xinwu District, which can improve the traffic accessibility of Taihu New Town.

Metro Line 5: Transfer with Line 3 Phase I at Wangzhuang Road Station, Line 4 Phase I at Sports Center Station, and Line 6 Phase I at Hubin Road
From Tangcheng Station to Xinyun Road Station, it is about 28.9 kilometers long and is an underground line.
The line covers Lihu New Town, Sports Center, Nanchan Temple, NanchangJie, Wangzhuang, Meicun and other important passenger flow nodes in the city, passing through Binhu District, Liangxi District and Xinwu District, which is the city's east-west backbone subway line. The line adopts 6 groups of B-type vehicles, the speed target value is 80 km / h, and the construction period is 6 years.
The line is mainly laid along the east-west passenger circulation channel in the main urban area of Wuxi, and reserves the conditions for the connection between the long-term vision and the Suzhou Metro to the east, which is conducive to creating a "Yangtze River Delta on the track" and has a positive effect on promoting regional integration and development.
