Henan News: Since the opening of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, the 10-second Chinese medicine experience hall in the Winter Olympic Village has aroused widespread concern among athletes from all over the world, and the two sets of traditional Chinese fitness exercises displayed in the experience hall- "Chinese Medicine Guided Five Birds Play" and "Chinese Traditional Gymnastics" have been loved and praised by foreign officials and athletes. Teacher Wang Chunyun of the School of Physical Education of Pingdingshan University was invited to participate in the compilation, adaptation and demonstration of "Five Birds Play Guided by Traditional Chinese Medicine" and "Chinese Traditional Fitness Exercises" as one of the invited experts in the creation of the Gong Fa.
During the Winter Olympics, the Chinese Medicine Experience Hall provides a place for athletes to relax their physical and mental health - the "Unity of Heaven and Man" immersive experience area. After the athlete participates in the experience system evaluation, a personalized music therapy plan will be automatically generated, with the visual effects of the immersive large screen, the experiencer can feel the charm of Chinese classical music, immersively enjoy a one-minute audiovisual feast, help restore or enhance the energy of the spirit, promote the interaction between consciousness and the inner true self, and enhance the information circulation between the brain and the nature of heaven and earth.
The "Five Birds Play" takes the version of the Five Birds Play recorded in the Ming Dynasty's "Red Phoenix Marrow" as an important literature basis, takes the Five Visceral Theory as the theoretical basis for the exercise, takes the "Bionic Alchemy" as the guide, and comprehensively exercises the form, qi and god of the heart, liver, spleen, lungs and kidneys through the tiger play of "Tiger tiger sheng wei to practice god", the deer play of "deer transporting tail lu to practice tendons", the bear play of "bear winding to practice", the ape play of "white ape catching the moon to practice qi", and the bird play of "bird stretching crane to practice bones". The 2022 Winter Olympic version of "Chinese Traditional Gymnastics" has been adapted and refined on the basis of the 2008 Summer Olympic version, retaining the original action name, sequence and style characteristics, extracting 1-2 movements in each style, and retaining the characteristics of the original guide and lame. Make it a set of "double Olympic" events that will be displayed at both the Summer Olympic Games and the Winter Olympic Games.
Mr. Wang Chunyun graduated from Beijing Sport University and Indiana University in the United States, and is currently teaching Pingdingshan College, with the title of professor, and is a part-time teacher of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, mainly engaged in the teaching of public health and the research of physical and mental exercise (tai chi, qigong, yoga) on health promotion and chronic disease prevention.
