A hurricane that almost destroyed half of Europe! Hundreds of thousands of people lost power and traffic was paralyzed

author:LOHAS Canada

From last year to this year, I think many people have deeply understood the meaning of "climate change". In fact, not only in Canada, but also in different "climate attacks" around the world.

On Friday, February 18, half of Europe was hit by an unprecedented hurricane!

The hurricane cut off hundreds of thousands of people, blew trees down, trains blew over, ships blew out of ports, planes had difficulty getting off and landing, and pedestrians on the streets were blown to the ground...

The debris and debris of buildings blown down by the hurricane are terrifying and deadly weapons for humans exposed to the outside! Many people who walk in the wind are not messy, but if they are not careful, they will die!

The UK has not experienced such a terrible hurricane in 32 years. "Red" warnings have been issued for most of the area – indicating that lives are at stake! In other parts of Europe, people continue to lose their lives!

Local police in the UK said:

A woman in her 30s was killed by a falling tree while driving;

A liverpool man died from a splash of debris;

A man in Hampshire kills a man whose car hits a tree that suddenly falls;

In the Netherlands, 4 people in Amsterdam were killed by falling trees.

In Ireland, a government worker in Wexfordshire was smashed to death by a tree while cleaning up storm debris;

In Belgium, high winds blew a crane down on the roof of a hospital. A 79-year-old man was blown down a canal in Ypres by a fierce wind and died when he was rescued.

In Germany and Poland, the storm has also killed at least five people.

The number of people injured as a result of this hurricane is innumerable.

The Met Office called the storm Eunice, and winds exceeded 144 km/h in highly exposed coastal areas of the region! The British Isle of Wight even recorded a 196 km/h gust, the strongest ever recorded in England.

Meteorologists say that such a powerful rapid is like a production line for storms, and it is terrifying to produce a new storm every day!

As a result of the disaster, train services were interrupted and many flights were cancelled. Many of the local tourist attractions, including the London Eye, Legoland and Warwick Castle, were closed by the storm. Britain's iconic Millennium Dome, which once hosted stars such as the Rolling Stones, Beyoncé, Rihanna, etc., has now been destroyed by the fierce wind, and half the roof has been blown away...

Even more troublesome are secondary disasters, with the UK Environment Agency having issued 10 severe flood warnings.

The UK government is currently preparing to convene a meeting of the COBRA Emergency Committee to respond to the storm disaster. Interior Minister Damian Heindez said the army was also already on "high alert" and could be dispatched at any time.

Not only the UK, but also the rest of Europe is suffering from this terrible storm. A few days ago, the first storm had swept around. The storm is expected to make landfall in northern Germany again this afternoon and advance eastward overnight. Flood warnings have been issued along Germany's North Sea coast.

Local meteorologists warn that tomorrow's storm could cause more damage than before. Germany has been devastated by the first storm of the previous few days, killing at least three people, collapsing trees and damaging roofs and railroad tracks. Deutsche Bahn has also cancelled all train lines in the north of the country.

The Netherlands has also issued the highest warning for coastal areas, Code Red. Other regions have released code orange. The country's rail company also said it would stop all trains nationwide starting at 2 p.m. KLM also canceled dozens of flights at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The Dutch Football Federation has also postponed all professional and amateur matches originally scheduled for today.

The roof of the Stadium of the Hague Football Club was destroyed by a hurricane. At Scheveningen Beach in The Hague, authorities built sand walls to protect beach bars from storms, but many still risk seeking excitement by the sea.

In Denmark, storms forced authorities to ban light vehicles from passing through the Storbeælt tunnel and a bridge connecting the central island of Fienne with the capital Copenhagen.

In the northern French province of Brittany, the waves are as high as four meters and rail travel is restricted.

At present, the disaster-stricken countries in Europe are repeatedly warning their citizens not to go out at will and stay at home as much as possible to wait for the hurricane to pass. It is hoped that this disaster will not cause more damage.
