Later, Mei Lanfang had many times to innovate the clothing. Finally, he changed the appearance of the White Lady to a large white pompom. Decades later, he changed to a red pompom. In 1951, Mei Lanfang went to Zhongnanhai to perform, and also spent a happy Spring Festival with the central leaders. Remember when Mei Lanfang performed for the volunteer army in the early days of liberation. Premier Zhou wanted to introduce Mei Lanfang to the party, but at that time, Mei Lanfang felt that she was not qualified enough. When Mei Lanfang was past the age of Hua Jia, at this time he felt that he could write the "Application for Joining the Party".

The party organization asked Mei Lanfang if she wanted Premier Zhou to be the introducer to join the party, and Mei Lanfang thought about going, or did not want to bother the leadership. He asked the party organization of his unit to serve as his introduction to the party, and later, after the party branch discussed and voted, Mei Lanfang unanimously passed.
After joining the party, Mei Lanfang took the initiative to cancel the salary of the Peking Opera House in China, leaving only the salary of the director of the Xiqu Research Institute. Later, Mei Lanfang also requested that all her savings be handed over to the party organization. However, the party organization did not agree.
After Mei Lanfang joined the party, she set strict demands on herself in all aspects. During his attendance at the National People's Congress, he attended the meeting even though he was very unwell. Mei Lanfang's name is loud because of his great technical achievements. He not only inherited the past and the future, but also carried forward and magnified the Peking Opera. He also founded the Mei Sect in the Danjiao of Peking Opera, and he himself is the first of the four famous Dans, enjoying the reputation of Mei Zhan Hundred Flowers, and he himself is very popular.
Since her youth, Mei Yanfang has been committed to the reform and innovation of Peking Opera. Even in his later years, he still insisted on practicing and singing. The reason why Mei Lanfang is great and can become a generation of artists is because he has devoted his life's efforts and energy to the cause of national drama.
In the history of international art performance, there is also a place for Mei Lanfang. He not only has a noble artistic accomplishment, but also a noble national integrity. During the eight-year War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Mei Lanfang had a beard and a clear mind, showing lofty national spirit, which was worthy of praise by the common people.

In 1961, Mei Lanfang, a master of Peking Opera, died. At his memorial service, Xiao Changhua, a famous Peking Opera performance artist, held Mei Lanfang's coffin and muttered to himself. "Qi Hua, you also took away the Peking Opera", everyone present was moved. After that, Mei Pai passed it on to Mei Lanfang's son.

It is reported that gloomy wood is the preferred wood for ancient imperial coffins. Not only can it be immortal for thousands of years, but it can only be used for royalty in the past. Mei Lanfang's wife Fu Zhifang built a tomb for her husband in Wanhua Mountain and built three tombs buried together. The first is to bury the husband with the first wife.
