Throughout her career, rock legend Brian May relied on the "Red Special" guitar to compose music, helping Queen become one of the most respected and famous rock bands in the world. Brian May also relies on Seiko, who has been wearing Seiko diving watches for more than 40 years, and whose enduring popular design has been the inspiration for the latest 5 Sports collection. Brian May purchased a Seiko watch when he first toured Japan in the 1970s, and since then, guitar and watches have accompanied him around the world, creating beautiful music and spending quality time together.

This is Seiko's second collaborative timepiece (model: SRPH80K1) with Brian May, and like the first, the dial reproduces the exquisite details of the legendary guitar, with embossed patterns reminiscent of the textures, glossy finishes and gradient colors of wood. At the request of Brian May herself, the case is decorated in special gold, inspired by the latest iteration of her solo album Gold Series.

The display box that accompanies the watch is reminiscent of a guitar case, which contains a replica of the "Lucky Sixpence" coin used by Brian May. Both highlight this as a special watch worth wearing and enjoying, as well as a coveted collector's timepiece.

Seiko will donate part of the proceeds from the sale of this watch to the Mercury Phoenix Trust to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goal 3 set by the United Nations: ensure a healthy lifestyle and promote the well-being of people of all ages. The Mercury Phoenix Trust is a charitable organization founded by Brian May, Roger Taylor and Queen agent Jim Beech in honor of Freddie Mercury to fund the global fight against HIV/AIDS. It is reported that the watch will be listed in March 2022, with a list price of 530 pounds, equivalent to about 4,570 yuan. (Photo/Text Watch House Xu Chaoyang)
