As a young man, Hong Nanli was an athlete in the Shanghai Gymnastics Team, and after retiring, she became a gymnastics coach and an international gymnastics referee. Her whole life has been closely related to sports, but with sports photography, it is halfway together.

Once shooting short track speed skating, she was ejected more than two meters away by an athlete who hit the baffle, and she couldn't sleep at night, but the next day she endured the pain to finish the CBA All-Star Game.
For all this experience, Hong Nanli did not complain about a word of hardship.

Hong Nanli, 84, is known as the "living fossil" of Shanghai sports photojournalist.
In fact, in 1993, Hong Nanli had already retired, but refused to put down the camera in her hand, when it was the founding of the "Xinmin Sports Newspaper", she applied for it.
The salary is only 50 yuan a week, which also includes all the meal supplements.
But being able to do what she likes, Hong Nanli feels extremely satisfied.
After that, she went from "Xinmin Sports Daily" to "Oriental Sports Daily", and later, she directly transformed into a freelance sports photographer and continued to shoot sports stories.
