Wu Xinchao, the son of Wu Faxian, recalled: In 1942, the Japanese army launched a "sweep" of the New Fourth Army in northern Jiangsu, and the Party Committee of the Third Division of the New Fourth Army decided to transfer the families of some leading comrades to Shanghai. Huang Kecheng's wife Tang Dihua, Zhang Aiping's wife Li Youlan, and Cao Diqiu's wife Wang Yun went to Shanghai with their mother and lived in their uncle's house.
