On February 16, 2022, the perseverance rover returned images showing a cylindrical object that landed on the surface of Mars (Figure 1), which should be the same as the drill bit previously used to polish the rock, and perseverance brought 10 drill bits of various types, some of which were used to polish the surface of the rock, so that the fresher composition of the rock interior could be analyzed

Previously, in order to keep the drill bit as clean as possible, a sanding drill bit that was set on the outside was thrown away
