This air raid shelter is located under the Chaozong Pavilion of today's Chaozong Street, this air raid shelter should have been privately built at that time, and then did not know what the reason was, it has not been discovered until 2005 when Chaozong Street was renovated into an old house, it was found under a private house, although the area is only 100 square meters, equivalent to the size of today's three bedrooms and two halls, but at that time it was also able to effectively avoid the bombing of the average daily.
Today, this air raid shelter is locally listed as the site of the Anti-Japanese War air raid shelter, located under a platform, the exit is on the sidewalk of Chaozong Street, but this exit is only half a meter high, arched, and an adult cannot enter it when bending down, and now it has been sealed by a red iron railing, and it is impossible to enter and see the internal structure. On the stone wall next to it, there is a black plaque that indicates what exactly this place is.
Above the bomb shelter, it is said that it was a private house at the time of discovery, but the house has been demolished and transformed into an observation deck, circled by a stone railing, and in the middle, with wood removed from the house at that time, an antique pavilion was built, which is now the Chaozong Pavilion, for the rest and use of the surrounding residents.
Only now, the residential buildings behind the pavilion have been included in the demolition, the residents inside have been relocated, and the pavilion has become a bit dilapidated, probably because no one has maintained it for a long time.
This air raid shelter may not be found on the map, but if you enter Chaozong Street from Xiangjiang Middle Road, you can walk about 200 meters along Chaozong Street, and it is only about 50 meters away from chaozong Street Church.
