According to the news from the Municipal Transportation Bureau, the reconstruction project of the Liangzhou Line (Nanlei Junction - Yaozhou Bridge North) is expected to start in August this year, and the construction period is expected to be about three years.
The southern section of the Liangzhou Line is currently a major traffic congestion point in our city, especially during rush hour, the waiting time of vehicles at intersections such as Shinan West Road requires more than two traffic lights, and sometimes the vehicles waiting for passage are even lined up on the Yaozhou Bridge, which brings inconvenience to the production and life of the citizens. Although the congestion situation has eased to a certain extent after the opening of the northern extension of the Yuliang Highway, the number of vehicles waiting for traffic lights at the intersection of Tanjialing West Road and Shinan West Road crossing the Liangzhou Line has increased significantly, and the intersection with the Liangzhou Line is still a blockage. Subsequently, with the residents of Jinmao House, Guiyu Lanting, Qiaoyuan, Huajingting and other communities around the Liangzhou Line, it is expected that the traffic volume of the Liangzhou Line will increase significantly.

In view of the current congestion situation, based on the above research and judgment, the transportation department organized relevant experts to conduct multiple demonstrations on the transformation plan of the southern section of the Liangzhou Line. At present, the defined transformation section ranges from the intersection of Nanlei Road to the north of Yaozhou Bridge, with a total length of 7.8km. The scheme adopts ground widening + elevated, the construction scheme occupies a small scale, the traffic conversion capacity on both sides of the road is strong, protects the land resources along the line, and strives for space for urban development, which is the best solution for rapid transformation.
The southern section of the Liangzhou Line (Nanlei Junction - Yaozhou Bridge North Road), which is currently planned to be implemented, is the first phase of the planning project. According to the traffic plan, Yuyao will form a "five vertical and five horizontal" expressway network system in the future, this project is a section of the "one vertical" expressway (Liangzhou line), which is planned to extend north to the Zhongheng Line elevated to the Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge, to the east to the "One Horizontal" Expressway (Guzha Line), and to the planned Yuyao-Ningbo Jiangbei Expressway.
The Liangzhou Line Expressway Reconstruction Project is a key transportation infrastructure project launched by Yuyao to strengthen the interconnection with Cixi and Qianwan New Area and promote the development of economic integration of the three places, and is the main channel connecting the main urban area of Yuyao with Cixi, Qianwan New Area and Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge. After the completion of the project, the commuting time between the main urban area of Yuyao and the Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge will be shortened from the current 1 hour and 20 minutes to less than 30 minutes, which is of strategic significance for Yuyao to build the core area of the north wing of Ningbo's modern city and promote the integration and development of Yuyao with Qianwan New Area and Cixi.
At this stage, the transportation department is stepping up the refinement of the plan. In addition, in response to the noise problems that the public is more worried about, the transportation department said that it will carefully formulate effective measures to minimize the noise interference of the elevated expressway to residents along the route.
