Chris Dorosz: Static sculpture with fluidity

Chris Dorosz was born in Canada in 1972 and now lives in San Francisco. Chris Dorosz is well known to the public in Canada and the United States for his intricate sculptures of suspended pigment color spots.

His works are only very abstract pieces of paint up close, but from a specific point of view, it can be seen that there are many humanoid sculptures, which are both figurative and vague, very eye-catching. By taking into account the nature of the acrylic paint liquid, a sculptural portrait is created using its own characteristics.

These deconstruct and recombine images in a pixelated way and create the visual illusion of deceiving the viewer. But in fact, this visual illusion ultimately points to the stripping away of the appendages of things, thus stimulating the viewer to think about what is really worth preserving.
