Before the premiere of "Mystical Record Shop," Red Velvet's Wendy sun and Super Junior's Yoo Gyu-hyun gave interviews about their role as hosts. Mystery Record Shop is a musical talk show co-produced by JTBC and SM C&C Studio. The four hosts, Yin Jong-shin, Jang Yoon-hyun, Yoo Gyu-hyun and Sun Cheng-wan(Wendy), will review their lives with guests working in the same field and discuss songs that have an impact on them.
Wendy said of being chosen as the host: "My first reaction was 'I? "I couldn't believe it. But it's a collaboration with senior artists I respect, so I really want to do well. It was my first time on the show as the main MC, and it was also my first time on TV in a long time, so I was really nervous.
Yao Guixian said: I heard that a new variety show is coming out. I heard it was a talk show about music, and I thought it sounded funny. I'm really looking forward to working with Yoon Jong-shin, and it's the first time I've done so in this time. I'm also looking forward to working with Jang Yoon-ho and Sun Cheng-wan.
On the reasons for starring in the show, Wendy said: I think I am the kind of person who listens to a lot of diversified music. Sometimes, I also recommend songs to fans when they talk to them. I'm happy when I recommend a song to someone they don't know about and they like it. The seniors I worked with also taught me a lot. The musical genealogy of Yin Jong-shin, Jang Yoon-hyun, Andeo Kyu-hyun and others is very broad. They know a lot of old songs, so I learned a lot from them.
When asked which host she was most looking forward to working with, she chose them all and said: I already feel it, but Yoon Jong-shin is an amazing person. I've seen Jang Yoon-ho on different shows before and she really takes care of me. I watched a lot of the shows that Yoo Kyu-hyun participated in. But aside from a slight intersection at SMTOWN concerts, I didn't chat with him very often. After seeing him establish his role well in variety shows, I'm looking forward to working with him. It's an honor to work with him on MC.
She said: She is someone I don't often meet on variety shows, so I'm curious about how we flow together. I have worked with Yoon Jong-shin for a long time, so I know him very well. But he was abroad for a while, so I'd love to know what his talk show technique would be like, but his talk show technique is as good as ever. All I know is that Wendy is a kind and respectable little artist, and I'm curious about what she will look like in a variety show.
Wendy said: She likes to listen to the different life experiences of the guests on the show. It felt like I was in the audience, and I was immersed in their stories. She said: "Every guest is from a different industry, and I feel like I want to try all the industries. After coming to Korea from high school, I only thought about becoming a singer. I have no other social experience. I feel that this show is an opportunity for me to learn more about Korean society.
Yao Guixian said: I am the type who listens to folk songs 365 days a year. I also listen to old songs from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. Lately, I've been listening to songs from Sing Again. Wendy finally said: "I haven't seen the fans for a long time, and I'm glad to meet them with such a good show." It's also a show that allows me to learn a lot from it. Hopefully, the audience will let go of their heavy hearts for a while.
