Damei Xinjiang August Full Journey 11: Xiaodonggou Scenic Area, Wetland Park, Altay Night View

8.19 Under the blue sky and white clouds, drive to the Xiaodonggou Scenic Area near Altay.

Xiaodonggou Scenic Area is located at the mouth of the valley of the Great and Small Crane River directly north of Altay City, only seven or eight kilometers away from the city. Xiaodonggou Forest Park is an eco-tourism scenic spot with natural valley forests and natural primary forests formed by the confluence of the Large and Small Crane Rivers.

The scenery along the way to Xiaodonggou is very characteristic of the Altai Mountains, but see the mountains towering, rocky, verdant river valley forests, surging riverbed rapids, mountains and valleys, rocks piercing the air, and the waves crashing on the shore. The dense forests on both sides of the river are covered with greenery, full of primitive nature, simple and simple wild fun.

Above the meadows, there is also the Zaskara Gayia Pasture, the air is fresh, the gentle slopes are long, the green grass is carpeted, the felt houses are dotted, and the cattle and horses are like clouds, presenting a typical Altayson grassland landscape.

Between a meadow and mountains, the Altay National Ice and Snow Park is being built, which is said to be accelerated after Beijing's bid to host the Winter Olympics to stimulate the development of the local tourism economy.

At the entrance of the scenic spot, I saw the introduction of Uzilik National Wetland Park, which is located in the Xiaodonggou Scenic Area, with a total area of 860,000 hectares, and there are wetland types such as swamp rivers and lakes in the wetland park, and there are large areas of typical peat wetlands.

Four days before we went (August 16, 2016), it passed the acceptance of the State Forestry Administration's 2016 pilot national wetland park and officially became a "national wetland park".

In Xiaodonggou Park, children eat watermelon, play in the water, ride horses, and have a lot of fun. In the scenic area, refreshed, fully experience the slow pace, leisurely life.

After returning from Xiaodonggou, eat a meal of Local Altay specialties at a national specialty restaurant, and then climb The General Mountain to enjoy the night view of the small city of Altay.

After a few years, the Night Landscape of Altay has developed rapidly, and the whole city has been lit up.
