5. Manchester City – 12 points (2020-21)
City have world-class coaches and talented teams, which makes them one of the most feared teams in Europe. They have dominated the Premier League for several years and continue to make progress.
In the 2020-21 season, Manchester City won the Premier League title by 12 points. They ended the season with 86 points, followed by Manchester United and Liverpool with 74 and 69 points respectively.
Surprisingly, Gundogan scored the most goals for City that season, ending the season with 13 goals. De Bruyne is at his best, finishing the season with 12 assists as City's top assist king.
It was also the final season of Manchester City legend Aguero, and on the final day of the match, the Argentine scored his 183rd and 184th league goals, surpassing The record set by Wayne Rooney for the most goals scored by a single club. Manchester City are currently number one in the league, nine points ahead of Liverpool.
4. Chelsea – 12 points (2004–05)
The 2004–05 Premier League season was dominated by Chelsea and the Blues won the league title with ease, losing only once in the entire season and losing Manchester City the only one.
This is Mourinho's first season in England, and he has staged a good play of a tactical master. Chelsea ended the 2004-2005 season with a staggering 95 points, while London rivals Arsenal trailed the Blues by 12 points to end the season with 87 points.
It was Chelsea's second premiership in the Premier League after a lapse of 50 years, and Lampard was one of the league's greatest midfielders and Chelsea's top scorer with 13 goals.
Cech won the Premier League Golden Glove award for keeping 25 games without conceding goals in the 04-05 season. Notably, 10 of those consecutive games have not conceded a goal, and Chelsea's backline has been difficult to break through at times, conceding only 15 goals in the entire season.
3. Manchester United - 18 points (1999–00)
United ruled the 90s under Ferguson, winning their sixth title in eight years in 1999-00 after winning a historic Triple crown in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League last season.
The Red Devils ended the season with 91 points, 18 more than second-placed Arsenal, and United scored 97 goals, a league record at the time. York and Andy Cole scored 20 and 19 goals respectively and led United to a successful defence.
David Beckham has 15 assists this season, the best in the league. United were at the top of their game during this time, dominating England's top flight with unparalleled ease.
The Red Devils have won 20 league titles, a league record, and based on their current form, fans can only hope that some miracle will bring United back to glory.
2. Liverpool – 18 points (2019-20)
Since coming to Liverpool in 2015, Klopp has transformed Liverpool to make it one of the best teams in the world. In the past few seasons, Liverpool have arguably been the only team that can match Manchester City.
Liverpool broke records in the 2019-20 season, with the Reds taking 30 wins in just 34 games, faster than any other team in Premier League history. They ended the season with an incredible 99 points.
City made a few turnovers that season and ended up in second place with 81 points, with Salah being the Reds' top scorer and scoring 19 goals.
Liverpool led by 25 points at one point this season, the biggest in Premier League history, and Liverpool easily won the title with seven games left, which is also a league record. Liverpool are currently nine points behind Manchester City but still have a slim chance of catching up with them.
1. Manchester City – 19 points (2017-18)
City made history in 2017-18 when they finished with triple-figures in the standings, with City finishing the season with 100 points, 19 more points than second-placed Manchester United.
Guardiola's closest scoring record was in La Liga for Barcelona in 2009-10, when 13 players scored different goals for City, scoring a total of 106 goals, the most goals scored in league history.
Club legend Aguero is City's top scorer, scoring 21 goals, and De Bruyne won the 2017-18 organizational core with 16 assists in his first year of the season.
It's safe to say that this Manchester City team is one of the greatest in the Premier League, and City are unstoppable at home and away, setting a record for the most away points of the season with 50 points.
There is no doubt that we will witness many outstanding teams in the future, but it is almost impossible for them to replicate City's achievements.
