"Visitor on the Iceberg" was produced and distributed by Changchun Film Studio in 1963, directed by Zhao Xinshui, and starring Liang Yin, Ayi Xiamu, Gu Yuying and others.
Starting from the love suspense of the real and false Guran Danmu and the warrior Amir, the film tells the story of the frontier warrior and the Yang platoon leader fighting with the secret agent fake Guran Danmu, and the final victorious Amir and the real Guran Danmu are also reunited.
"Visitors on the Iceberg" is the earliest domestic film to show the unity of the military and the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang and oppose separatism, and the national borders and the image of ethnic minorities shown in the film carry the function of displaying and enhancing the political and cultural image of New China, and are an important "national narrative" in this special period. The wisdom and courage of the military and the people, the sacrifice of heroes, and the unity of the nation shown in the film have become important contents of the national narrative. At the end of the film, Yang Platoon commander issued an order: "Radiate three flares to the sky and let them illuminate the mountains and rivers of the motherland", which is a powerful call to national consciousness and sublimates the audience's patriotic feelings.
The film won the Best Director Award at the 1964 Changchun Film Studio's "Little Hundred Flowers Award". The theme song in the film, "Why Are The Flowers So Red", has become a classic song and has been sung to this day.

In the summer of 1951, the Pamir Plateau in Xinjiang. The lives of military and civilians on the frontier are being threatened by secret service organizations. The bride Guran Danmu, who married from abroad, is actually a female secret agent Guribaer (Gu Yuying) pretending to be. Her arrival evokes poignant memories of Amir (Amdu Liliti), a soldier at the People's Liberation Army outpost, who was originally a pair of green plum bamboo horses, but lost contact with each other in their early years.
When the fake Gurandam learned of this childhood incident, he was particularly affectionate with Amir in order to spy on military intelligence. This anomalous move arouses the vigilance of Yang Platoon Leader (Liang Yin), and she soon discovers that she is not Guran Danmu, whom Amir loves.
Soon, the enemy had to inch in and sneak past the border attack post. However, the enemy's calculations have not escaped the vast net set up by our army. Platoon Commander Yang not only exposed the true face of the fake Guran Damm, but also swept away this group of cunning spies. Amir is finally reunited with Zhenguran Danmu (Ayishamu) again, greeting the rising sun in a triumphant song of victory.
