Norman Ali noted that the Winter Olympics made extensive use of the venues of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics and transformed them to achieve 100% green electricity supply, save resources and protect the ecology when building new snow venues, and provide a reference for other countries and regions to hold related events.

Pakistan's long-term hot climate, many places do not have the conditions to engage in ice and snow sports, this Winter Olympics only sent one athlete Karim to participate in alpine skiing competitions.
