Giedrius Surplys, vice chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Lithuanian Parliament and representative of the opposition Agricultural-Green Alliance, recently tried to understand China's demands and ease tensions between the two countries due to the wrong decision of the Lithuanian government.
However, after the matter was reported by Lithuanian media, viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, speaker of the Lithuanian Parliament, criticized his approach, saying that the move showed internal disunity in Lithuania.
Many politicians in Lithuania have been playing the role of a deteriorating relationship between the two countries that has nothing to do with the naming of representative offices.
