Bilibili Danmaku Network, hereinafter referred to as Station B, is a leading young people's cultural community in the mainland. The birth and growth of Station B is related to Acfun (hereinafter referred to as Station A).

Before the official establishment of B station in 2009, station A is China's first bullet screen video website, but also the pioneer of China's two-dimensional world, through A station, the weak influence of two-dimensional enthusiasts at that time have a platform that can speak and be active, and can exchange feelings and express feelings between screens.

The predecessor of the B station, the bullet screen video website Mikufans, was created by the earliest senior user of the A station, "bishi", and is a platform for "self-entertainment" built entirely based on hobbies. In March 2010, a large-scale barrage chaos and screen brushing incident broke out at Station A. Since then, A station members have left station B, and station B has also ushered in its own "new starting point". Since then, A and B stations have become competitors and compete.

In 2011, the fledgling Station B ushered in its first turning point, when Chen Rui, then vice president of Cheetah Mobile, became an angel investor in Station B and injected the first angel funds. With the help of capital, the affairs of Station B have further developed, and the annual "New Year's Festival" activity has gradually become a grand event for ACG enthusiasts to Chinese New Year's Eve night. In the following two years, Station B received four rounds of financing totaling about 500 million US dollars.

In 2014, Station B ushered in its second turning point. As a deep animation enthusiast, Chen Rui joined Station B as chairman in this year, and his addition brought professional business operation and management methods, and the development posture of Station B was more mature, and various businesses were gradually developed.

At the end of 2014, the official Taobao store of Station B began to sell the official peripheral products of Station B. In April 2015, Station B launched the first "BilibiliMicroLink (BML)" offline tour concert in Chengdu, with a total of 4,200 spectators "toasting" with Bilibili on the spot.

In July 2015, the third BML session of Station B in Shanghai was attended by 8,000 spectators, and the total number of online live broadcasts exceeded 7 million. At the end of 2015, Bilibili Pictures was founded. In December 2016, Baidu released its annual search report, and Station B became the first of the top ten fresh followers of the "post-00s".

After that, Station B also vigorously developed documentaries and brought many excellent documentaries to the public. Among them, "I repair cultural relics in the Forbidden City", "China on the tip of the tongue", "A String of Life" and so on.

Until March 2018, Station B was listed on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange in the United States. In October of the same year, Tencent Holdings invested in Bilibili for a total of $317.6 million. In 2019, Alibaba invested 24 million shares in Station B through Taobao, with a shareholding ratio of 8%. In 2021, Station B decided to go public in Hong Kong for the second time.

In 2021, Station B officially established the "Environmental, Social and Governance Committee", chaired by Station B Vice Chairman and COO Li Yi.

"We've always been very concerned about the environmental and social impact of our business," she says. In the future, we will continue to integrate the ESG concept into the company's decision-making and development, and promote the continuous progress of B Station ESG. ”

In terms of social care, Station B actively participates in the public welfare undertakings of education and pays attention to rural revitalization. In 2019 and 2020, Station B supported the construction of Bilibili Beautiful Primary School and Bilibili Dream Primary School in Dali, Yunnan and Zunyi, Guizhou, respectively, providing systematic support from the aspects of hardware improvement, curriculum research and development, teacher training, and study trips.

At the same time, Station B also exerts the power of the UP master to explore the "Bilibili Version Dream Course". For example, UP master "Uncle Bai of Origami" and "In the Lower Xiaosu" participated in the production of "Art Life", "Go Far Away", "Professional Life" and other series of courses. "Luo Xiang said the criminal law", "The Moon Thief Society's Food Encounter" and other UP owners participated in the recording of Bilibili safety education courses. During the reporting period, the "Bilibili Dream Course" has covered 501 schools across the country, with more than 110,000 students.

In order to make up for the shortage of rural teachers, Station B has also carried out special publicity and recruitment activities for volunteer teachers in the station to select and transport outstanding young people with educational ideals.

As of June 2021, a total of 2,408 employees of Station B are full-time service to UP masters, an increase of 42% year-on-year; 340,000 UP owners have received benefits through the B Station Creation Incentive Program.

While building a rural school, Station B explored the Bilibili Dream Edition curriculum with the UP master, benefiting more than 110,000 students. The report also disclosed that the average age of the employees of Station B is 27 years old, and product and technical employees account for more than 45% of the total number of employees.

As a video community where young users gather, Station B adheres to the priority of high-quality content and creators in the process of fulfilling its product responsibilities, continues to pay attention to user experience and feedback, and actively promotes product innovation.

In terms of content ecology, Station B insists on recommending content based on the positive feedback of users, insists on the authenticity of data and quality first, and allows high-quality works to obtain more audiences.

The report shows that in the past year, 113 million users have learned by watching knowledge content on Station B, which is about three times the number of college students in China. At present, pan-knowledge content has accounted for 45% of the total video playback volume of the B station on all platforms, and the overall trend of ESG is better.
